In 1894 the present-day civil parish of Sunningdale as we know it came into existence. Prior to this date, the village had been part of Old Windsor and until 1995 was partly in Berkshire and partly in Surrey with the Surrey area of the Village, known as Broomhall. Sunningdale is now entirely in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the Royal County of Berkshire.

In 1856 a railway connection was built linking up the Village to London and reading. This led to a new flurry of house building, both around the old village and the A30/Chobham Road area including big estates such as Sunningdale Park, Coworth Park, Silwood Park and Broomfield Hall.

Sunningdale is situated 24 miles west of London and today is a busy village boasting boutique shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. Windsor being the largest local town situated on the Thames offers a wealth of history and culture as well as a thriving shopping centre and leisure facilities.

Sunningdale and its surrounding villages and towns including Sunninghill, Ascot, Virginia Water, and Windlesham boasts a selection of some of the country's leading schools including international schools such as TASIS and the ACS, Egham which encourages many families from overseas who are relocating to the UK to settle in the area.

There is also an abundance of sporting venues and places of interest in the area including the beautiful Windsor Great park and Virginia Water Lake, Ascot Race Course, Guards Polo Club, Wentworth Golf Club, Windsor Castle to name but a few.
